What to Expect During a Kambo Session?
Kambo is applied through small superficial points on the skin. A thin layer of the top skin is gently removed to create micro-openings, allowing the secretion to enter the body.
In an initial session, 3–5 points are typically created. Prior to the application of the medicine, the client is instructed to drink approximately 1 liter of water.
Once applied, Kambo’s effects appear quickly but are temporary, lasting approximately 20–25 minutes.
First Minutes: Between 30 seconds and the first minute, a rise in body heat may be felt, accompanied by a slight increase in pulse and a sensation of pressure in the head. Tingling or numbness may appear in the lips, tongue, and ears, as well as dizziness or light-headedness. These sensations usually last 5–10 minutes.
Release Phase: During the next 10–20 minutes, some people experience flu-like symptoms such as nausea, weakness, or body aches. In some cases, purging (vomiting) may occur, however, it is not required for the process to be effective, and each person’s experience varies.
After this phase, symptoms quickly subside. The body enters a state of deep relaxation, sometimes accompanied by mental clarity or mild euphoria. After a short recovery period of 30–45 minutes, most people can resume normal activities.
Many participants report that Kambo’s benefits continue to unfold hours or days later, and some perceive lasting positive shifts for an extended period of time.
